According to the FIA, these destinations were chosen because of the overtaking opportunities, the long straights and how exciting the duels between the drivers can be. Austria and Brazil have already had a sprint race this year, the other destinations are new. This year the sessions will take place in Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Qatar, the United States (Austin) and Brazil. The FIA announced that six sprint races will take place in 2023. This year (2022) was not driven there due to the Football World Cup. Furthermore, FORMULA 1 will travel to Qatar again at the beginning of October. Round 23 of 24, we save the best for last, will see Las Vegas rejoin the FORMULA 1-caroussel after an absence of 31 years. Imola remains on the F1-calander for 2023. The championship will start in 2023 at the circuit of Sakhir – Bahrain. Australia is officially not the first race of the season for the third successive year. Never before have so many races been scheduled in FORMULA 1. Ultimately, there are 24 races on the FORMULA 1 calendar for the 2023 season.
